Whether you believe they exist or not, legends of Aliens have found its home within the United States. Aliens are known as extraterrestrial beings that visit Earth for reasons unknown. Some say it’s to study and learn about the people of this planet, others say it’s to cause destruction and mayhem. Regardless of the reason many Aliens have become fond of the good old U.S. of A and legends about these creatures can be heard all the way from the East Coast to West Coast.
Many people have even seen these creatures first hand. From spotting a UFO in the distance to having one chase them down the highway. Though these encounters seem like just a hoax or fairy tale made up by Hollywood, they are constantly discussed and it seems that the number of encounters and stories continues to grow.
Now, if you are wanting to learn more about some of the most famous U.S. cryptids and ties to Aliens then look no further. I’ve gone ahead and compiled a list of different Extraterrestrial Cryptids that can be found lurking in the U.S. . Plus, every topic we post here has direct links to our podcast episodes, so you’ll be able to listen and learn all about these extraterrestrials.
1. Stingy Jack
Mantis Man is a famous Cryptid that has been seen in Hackettstown, New Jersey near the Musconetcong river. Some legends say its an experiment gone wrong, but most suggest that it is actually an extraterrestrial known to be part of the Mantis Alien Species. The only difference is sometimes the extraterrestrials are seen wearing a colorful robe where the mantis man is known for roaming around in his birthday suit.
On EP 3 | Mantis Man Forgets his Invisibility Cloak, we dive into the lore of the Mantis-Man cryptid that scares local fishermen almost as much as they scare it.
2. Gray Aliens
Gray Aliens are the most famous stereotype for an Alien. You’ve probably already seen a gray alien and don’t even know it. They have big gray heads, skinny bodies, big eyes and quickly became a poster boy in early Hollywood Films with Sci-Fi. Did you know they are one of the most commonly seen cryptids though?
On EP 4 | U.F.O. aka Unidentified Folklore Origins, we dive deep into the many encounters people have had with these creatures, along with the famous sighting of 1961 from the Hills family and how this encounter affected the rest of their lives.
3. Flatwoods Monster
The Flatwoods Monster is another famous cryptid that was seen in Braxton County Monster. This creature goes by “Braxxie” for short, but it stands at a whopping 10-15ft in height and seems to be some type of human-like spaceship. This Alien has become a major part of West Virginia Folklore all after a sighting involving a mother, her kids, a police officer and trusty dog in 1952. Plus with space and atomic bombs on the brain of the townsfolklore, the idea of an invading extraterrestrial made the locals become very fearful of this Alien.
On EP 13 | The Government Broke Our Podcast, we talk about multiple Flatwoods monster sightings and why dogs are truly man’s best friend.
